Bismuth germanate(BGO for short), is
a multifunctional crystal. As a scintillator, it has such advantages as
high radiation hardness, high scintillation efficiency, good energy
resolution and no hygroscopic, and used in particle physics, nuclear
physics, aerospace physics, nuclear medicine, geology exploring and other
industries. At present, BGO crystal is used widely in nuclear medical
imaging, for instance, in PET.
Red Optronics can supply BGO, either Bi12GeO20
or Bi3Ge4O12
,up to
30×40×250 mm3 (cuboids) or φ50×100mm3
(cylinder).
