Potassium Sodium Strontium Barium Niobate (KNSBN) and Strontium Barium Niobate
(SBN) are promising
photorefractive crystals that will be widely used in optical information processing, optical computing and optical
network system.
KNSBN crystals have no phase transition at room temperature and no depolarization in practical
applicatons. KNSBN and SBN crystals have been successfully used to realize
image amplification, imaginary holographic storage, self-pumped phase conjugation
(SPPC),
image edge detect(image differentiation), strain detect of materials and distorted image correction.
